Birthdays
I wish I could but then I'd be tempted by cake, sigh. I think my letter to the pastor is pretty much 'nuff said so I cannot make an appearance.

I said you all were taught that all who are not SDA are non-Christians and to stay away from us, so I can't in all conscience be where I could compromise y'alls's faith.

my birthday means nothing, I'm old and in too much pain to eat anything fun. I make my 'healthy' candy, but it's not the same.

I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.
...
Not that I've attained this yet, but this one thing I do..., "I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
This is what I'm working on, but Philipians also says to be comsiderate and loving to everyone, it's not loving to cause someone else to stumble by association.

Re: Birthdays
Don't eat the cake. There will be ice cream. YUM! Apple pie filling and the usual assortment of soy products (Sigh).

I did not know that you had written a letter to the pastor so I don't know what was in it. NOT ASKING TO KNOW. So I'll let that go.

No comment on this either.

Now age has nothing to do with birthdays. It's a time to thank God for life and the privilege of each painful breath. It has to mean something because God made us for a reason. "Healthy candy" is an oxymoron. I understand how you feel about birthdays though. I'm just sayin'...

The last, we know you know this already. It's already DONE! Rejoice and get into BIRTHDAY MODE! Give thanks with a grateful heart! He is risen!

Re: Birthdays
healthy candy is not an oxymoron, I make it with cocoa powder [antioxidants] raw honey [antibiotics,anti-cancer properties] chia seed[ omega-3's fiber] walnuts[fiber, more omega-3 fatty acids, Vit E, plant sterols] vanilla [antioxidants] almond flavoring [vitamin E], coconut oil [maintaining cholesterol levels, weight loss, increased immunity, proper digestion and metabolism, relief from kidney problems, heart diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes, HIV and cancer, dental care, and bone strength]
so there!

Re: Birthdays
Sounds good! Stop calling it healthy. Just call it candy. Candy sounds so-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o much better. Repeat after me: Caaandy. See that sounds YUM! Healthy, my taste buds shiver and quake in fear that its gonna taste yucky.
