Thank you very, very much! The party IS going to be a blast. I still want you to come. Think/pray/meditate on it and then come on over if you decide in my favor. We are not stayin' long. Not as young as I use to be. And...."There's talk of cake!"

By the By: do you want to do something for your B-day? I forgot to ask when I had you on the phone. Let me know.

Thank you so very much! I hope the happys will last for more than that day. It's been an interesting (read, cursed) season starting just before Christmas. Now that Spring has physically sprung I pray that it will be blue skies, mentally from now on. Except for the current tornado season that is ;^).

LOL, well I hope the happies last all year long for you:) We're getting an early spring here in Canada, well an actual spring I should since we don't usually get one, so we're just enjoying the wonderfully warm weather and occational thunder storm:)

Stay safe during the tornado season:)

Happy birthday again, wishing you many years of happy and wonderully blue mental skys:)

Thank you again. I love Canada. I've been there for the Monarch Butterfly migration at Point Pelee. I also mistakenly ended up at the Montreal Jazz Festival one year. I saw Niagara Falls from your side of the river. Since then I have had a flaming case of acrophobia. It IS one of the 7 wonders of the world. The Falls, not acrophobia. The sound, the sight, everything was amazing, with a capital ZING! I would love to spend more time in your fair country. Oh, and we got lost trying to ride the "Metro"! I think that's what it is called? Everyone we met was very friendly and helpful. We must have had signs painted on our faces sayin' "Idiots from Michigan, be kind". :) I would love to go up into the North and see the sights. My girlfriend and I wanted to go to Vancouver when they were filming Stargate Atlantis. Maybe one day....

LOL sounds like you've seen more of Canada than me:) I have of course seen the falls as I live in Ontario, but I have yet to make it to Montreal.

I would love to get to Vancouver, I also wanted to see the set of Stargate and Atlantis, but I guess that won't happen now:) do they shoot Universe in Vacouver?

Apr. 7th, 2010 06:22 pm (UTC)
I can't know. I assume that they do. Money and all that. How do you like Universe? I've heard different opinions on it. What's your take?

Apr. 7th, 2010 06:31 pm (UTC)
I was skeptical at first, but this past episodes changed that:) I think it's going to be another gret series, there are problems like I'm not really invested in the characters yet, but my favorites so far are Rush and Eligh (not sure about the spelling there:))

What do you think of it?

You may call me a pooh pooh head but I was so upset with the cancellation of SGA that I made a vow to my self not to invest in any new series of the Stargate franchise. I felt played. I have all of SGA and SG1 on DVD (in fact, for my B-day I purchased the last 2 seasons of SG1 that I was missing [6 & 8] and the Ark of Truth. Now I'm done. I felt that they cut SGA short so that they could go to DVD movies and make more money. When will that project be finished? Then they want to get me hyped on something new and do it again. I saw some of the previews and everything was dark and I'm just tired of it all. So I'm not going to the Universe. I'm happy with the 2 galaxies, Pegasus and Milky Way. I can't love John Sheppard and Jack O'Neill and the teams anymore than I do. I will purchase the SGA DVDs when they are released. At least I will if they come before the end of Social Security AND I mentally can remember them in the nursing facility. :0
PAY ME NO MIND. I know these people have to make a living. I can't afford to keep paying their salaries though.

Not at all I think your right, they did play us, a lot of fans felt that way. I guess I just wanted to keep a little stargate going:):) I actually have all the SG-1 DVDs and the two movies. I haven't got the SGA series yet, just waiting for the prices to drop a little:) I heard there was a movie in the works, but I haven't heard anything else about it, like when we can expect it, hopefully sooner rather than later:)

I've also been watching Sanctuary, Amanda Tappings new series, so far Sgt. Silar and a few of the other background characters have made camios, but the best by far is Michael Shanks, he was on the show for an episode not long ago:) I'm hoping maybe they can get Richard Dean Anderson to do an episode too and Christopher Judge:):)

If I could see the episodes where my friends show up that would be ever so kewl! I don't have cable so I can't check them out different shows on TV. I watch DVDs and the Net. A friend taped Warehouse 13 for me because Joe Flanigan was in the episode and I went over and watched it. I loved him. I would love to see the eps of Sanctuary with Michael and the rest of the gang too. Hey, I'd like to see them in anything. I caught the episodes of Michael when he was on Burn Notice.

I saw the webisodes of Sanctuary and I thought it was great but scary. I watched as many as I found. Then I couldn't get them anymore. Too bad, so sad.

I know what you mean about a little "Stargate going". I think that's why I got the DVDs myself. When I need that little something to finish off the day. Pop one of those babies in and la de da de da. ;)

I never saw the webisodes of sanctuary I actually only saw it on TV, and I got the first season on DVD for Christmas:):):)

I heard of the show they were doing together, but I don't think we'll get it here, not right away anyway:)

I have the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I love the sets, the imagery, the costumes. So beautiful! I didn't think that was scary at all.

What else are you in to? Do you cook? Bake? Scrapbook? I just got a Thai and Israeli cookbook from the Library. I can't stand long so cooking is a pain. I'll have a total hip replacement next year so things should get easier.

I like to cook, and I love to bake I just don't really have the occation to:) although I find times to bake, like bringing cupcakes into work on halloween and christmas, I was thinking of expanding to St.Patricks day and Valentines day:):)

I don't really scrapbook, I did create one for my Mum for Christmas and she has continued it since then.

I hope you feel better after your surgery, how long will it take for recovery?

Birthdays
I wish I could but then I'd be tempted by cake, sigh. I think my letter to the pastor is pretty much 'nuff said so I cannot make an appearance.

I said you all were taught that all who are not SDA are non-Christians and to stay away from us, so I can't in all conscience be where I could compromise y'alls's faith.

my birthday means nothing, I'm old and in too much pain to eat anything fun. I make my 'healthy' candy, but it's not the same.

I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.
...
Not that I've attained this yet, but this one thing I do..., "I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
This is what I'm working on, but Philipians also says to be comsiderate and loving to everyone, it's not loving to cause someone else to stumble by association.

Re: Birthdays
Don't eat the cake. There will be ice cream. YUM! Apple pie filling and the usual assortment of soy products (Sigh).

I did not know that you had written a letter to the pastor so I don't know what was in it. NOT ASKING TO KNOW. So I'll let that go.

No comment on this either.

Now age has nothing to do with birthdays. It's a time to thank God for life and the privilege of each painful breath. It has to mean something because God made us for a reason. "Healthy candy" is an oxymoron. I understand how you feel about birthdays though. I'm just sayin'...

The last, we know you know this already. It's already DONE! Rejoice and get into BIRTHDAY MODE! Give thanks with a grateful heart! He is risen!

Re: Birthdays
healthy candy is not an oxymoron, I make it with cocoa powder [antioxidants] raw honey [antibiotics,anti-cancer properties] chia seed[ omega-3's fiber] walnuts[fiber, more omega-3 fatty acids, Vit E, plant sterols] vanilla [antioxidants] almond flavoring [vitamin E], coconut oil [maintaining cholesterol levels, weight loss, increased immunity, proper digestion and metabolism, relief from kidney problems, heart diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes, HIV and cancer, dental care, and bone strength]
so there!

Re: Birthdays
Sounds good! Stop calling it healthy. Just call it candy. Candy sounds so-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o much better. Repeat after me: Caaandy. See that sounds YUM! Healthy, my taste buds shiver and quake in fear that its gonna taste yucky.

Well, I don't know why but my internet is still on. I just thank
God that it is, for now.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I thought the internet would terminate and then...

My birthday was exciting. I pulled, broke, snapped, perforated, or herniated something in my abdomen when I was getting into my friends car and have been in excruciating pain ever since. I have been walking like the old man that Tim Conway made famous. You should see me try to sneeze or cough. I'm sound like a mouse because it hurts very badly.

But the birthday celebration contiunes. My May 9 I should have it out of my system.

In regards to your question. I need to lose some weight befor surgery and so its tentively scheduled for next spring. Then about a year to get back on my feet and six more months before it's all a bad dream. I've given my self a three-year timeline.
